Company Description
A high net worth family office located in downtown Sarasota is looking to add a staff accountant to their accounting team. Baird Inc., specializes in specializes in wealth preservation and strategic asset management through secured lending, private equity, and real estate investment and management. We welcome recent college graduates with a business degree, preferably in finance or accounting who are joining the workforce. Applicant will report to the Senior Accountant and CFO.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant located in downtown Sarasota, FL. In this role, applicant will be responsible for a majority of the day-to-day bookkeeping transactions, tax compliance exercises, and financial administrative projects. Additional duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting monthly reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Ability to journalize complex accounting transactions
- Undergraduate student majoring in business or recent graduate
- Foundational knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Critical thinker
- Ability to multitask between diverse and challenging projects
- QuickBooks Enterprise or QuickBooks Desktop experience extremely valuable
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyzing and Reconciling Bank Statements
- Analyzing and Reconciling Credit Card Statements
- Issuing Checks and ACH Payments
- Establishing additional processes/controls throughout task list
- Recording deposits
- Financial statement review
- Monthly sales tax filings
- Additional administrative and clerical tasks assigned by supervisors
Qualified candidates will demonstrate a willingness to learn, take on new tasks, and develop as a professional within our company. Compensation will be determined by level of experience.
This is a salaried position with a pay range of $60,000-$75,000 depending on level of experience.
Benefits include 10 PTO days per year and 4 paid holidays: 4th of July, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's Day.
