The Field Dragger is responsible for the maintenance of infields and includes watering infields and dragging sports fields. Additionally, this position is responsible for chalking sports fields weekly. This position reports to the Recreation Services Supervisor.

- Drag sports fields using lawn mower
- Chalk sports fields weekly
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school education or equivalent
- Experience with safely operating hand and power tools
- Must have knowledge of basic field maintenance and sports field markings

- Ability to operate equipment in a responsible and safe manner
- Ability to work harmoniously in a group and to interact with the public in a positive and courteous manner
- Demonstrated punctual and reliable work habits
- Willingness to accept supervision and to communicate effectively with supervisors
- Must be able to work independently and use time efficiently and effectively

- Must be able to perform Parks services duties that require sustained, strenuous physical exertion that includes activities such as moving and heavy lifting of items up to 50 pounds; stacking, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, grab, pull and push objects up to 50 pounds, squat down, stoop, kneel, crouch and jump
- Must be able to move equipment as needed
- Work involves exposure to weather conditions, such as extended periods of sun, rain, cold temperatures, wind, and potentially uneven terrain that may contain trip hazards
- Work involves exposure to noise
- Hours vary and may include early morning, weekend, and evening shifts
