Instructional Assistant (28.75 hours)

Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
-Assists instructional personnel with the development and presentation
of learning materials and instructional exercises
-Assists the teacher in non-instructional functions related to providing
the instructional program
-Assists with set up of classroom and prepares materials for specialized instructional units
-Assists students with classroom assignments
-Works with students individually or in small groups to reinforce and follow up instruction
-Maintains discipline in the absence of the teacher
-Supervises students during recess, lunch, and breaks
-Operates standard school equipment such as laminator, copier, audiovisual, etc.
-Maintains professional appearance and behavior while on duty
-Maintains regular and prompt attendance
-Takes in-service training as directed
-Maintains a high degree of confidentiality
-Promotes good public relations for the school district and community
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
