The Opportunity: Apprentice to Field Technician
We are seeking a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice / Field Technician.
This position combines entry-level hands-on training (Level 1) with a direct, structured path to becoming an independent Field Technician (Level 2) within 90 days. You don't need years of custom AV experience to start—just strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, high attention to detail, and top-tier reliability.
What You’ll Do
Phase 1: Apprentice Technician (First 90 Days)
- Assist Lead and Senior Technicians on active job sites with custom equipment installations.
- Learn and apply BCI standards for running low-voltage wiring, mounting TVs, building equipment racks, and installing speakers.
- Stage, organize, and maintain daily work vehicles, materials, and specialized tools.
- Complete required technical training modules and safety assessments.
Phase 2:
Field Technician (After 90-Day Advancement)
- Execute standard residential and commercial installations independently or as part of a 2-man crew.
- Specialize in one of two distinct technical tracks:
- Low Voltage Specialist: Structured cabling, rack building, networking infrastructure, and complex wire management.
- Programming Specialist: AVR setup, smart home automation interfaces, network configuration, and system commissioning.
- Conduct client walkthroughs upon job completion, demonstrate system operation, and collect payments on site via digital tools.
Career Growth & Compensation Pathway

- Field Tech Level 2 Advancement (Day 90 ): Upon passing the BCI Core Skills Assessment and maintaining perfect attendance, your base pay increases to $26.00 / hour.
