What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sandblaster/Powdercoating/Painter position at Bailey's Welding Service Inc.?
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare metal surfaces for coating
- Mix and apply powder coatings using spray guns in a spray booth
- Monitor curing ovens and ensure parts are baked at appropriate temperatures and durations
- Inspect workpieces for quality, uniformity, and coverage before and after coating
- Mask and unmask parts as required to protect areas from coating
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Track job progress and record necessary information on work orders
- Work with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to PASS drug test
- Must be able to pass FIT test and pulmonary test
- Painting experience preferred
- Good communication is a necessary skill
- Willing to learn and take notes if needed
- This position will also include other duties and cross training will be provided if necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
