Duties
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, mulching, and soil preparation using hand tools and power equipment
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to ensure healthy turf growth
- Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care activities
- Operate machinery including excavators, snow plows, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Conduct landscape maintenance routines such as weed control, pest management, and hardscape upkeep
- Use hand tools and power tools for various landscaping tasks while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, or gardening is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators safely and responsibly
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction equipment is a plus
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions including snow plowing during winter months
- Strong attention to detail for tasks like tree trimming, lawn care, and landscape maintenance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Valid driver’s license may be required for equipment operation or transportation purposes
