Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting products by offering knowledgeable advice and product demos
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to meet customer needs and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features, benefits, and usage tips
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and conducting stock checks
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations
- Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in retail settings
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, retail math calculations, and cash reconciliation
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions
- Experience with upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or similar retail environments is advantageous
