Get to Know Your Team:
- Bailey Medical Center offers a full range of medical services, including general surgery, maternity, gynecology, bariatrics, orthopedics and emergency care. The 73-bed hospital is one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the region.
- The Polysomnographic Technologist performs various polysomnograms and other sleep disorder tests under the direction of the Sleep Lab Medical Director.
- Responsible for electrode attachment and monitoring of patients who are participating in a sleep study.
- Monitors the patient throughout the sleep study and documents observations, collects data from various monitors and reports this information to the physician.
- Responsible for CPAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable.
- Scores reports.
Job Requirements
- Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) upon hire.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within one year of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire.
- Knowledge of sleep disorders, testing methodologies, and patient monitoring practices.
- Skill in operating polysomnographic equipment and related software systems.
- Ability to analyze physiologic data and maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience.
