Bailey Information Technology Consultants has an immediate need for a work from home Web Developer.  Our team is currently working from home due to COVID-19.  The position will work from home and then work our of our Chantilly, VA office once the COVID restrictions are lifted   Interviews will be conducted via phone.

Web Developer Requirements
Candidate has experience working with a team and independently in the development and maintenance of websites. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and code that works with databases and consumes web services/APIs is essential; with a strong attention to detail, delivering quality work to test team.

Objectives of this Role

• Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development, including mobile and responsive site design
• Develop websites and user interfaces, using standard JavaScript/HTML/CSS practices, while incorporating data from back-end databases and services
• Assist in maintaining updated knowledge of new and emerging industry trends and 

technology
 

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Two to four years web development experience, specifically with JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SASS, Git (or similar version control system)
• Solid understanding of web-based UI/UX
• Ability to work in an agile environment and learn new technologies quickly
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent experience

Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services
• Experience developing with Node.js
• Experience developing with a JavaScript framework such as Vue.js, Nuxt.js, React or Angular
• Experience working with relational databases
• Experience working with object-relational mappers (e.g. Sequelize)
