Overview
Base wage plus commission, Seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team. Candidate must have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy duty trucks. This role requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Heavy Truck Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs .
- Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment..
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery.
Qualifications
- Five years mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge including but not limited to brake repair, tire service, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting..
- Comfortable working with various types of machinery including tractor-trailers and forklifts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
