What does a secondary ELA Teacher/Instructional Coach/Master Educator do?
As a Contract Instructional Coach serving Nebraska's middle and high schools, you will support teachers in elevating secondary literacy instruction through strong content knowledge and evidence-based practices.
Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with grades 6–12 ELA teachers to strengthen instruction

Supporting curriculum implementation aligned to state standards

Conducting classroom observations and providing actionable feedback

Modeling lessons and co-teaching to support instructional growth

Leading professional development sessions on writing instruction, text complexity, close reading, academic vocabulary, and more

Analyzing student performance data to guide literacy interventions

Helping teachers design rigorous assessments and instructional materials

Building teacher capacity through ongoing coaching cycles
Your work will directly impact adolescent literacy outcomes and teacher effectiveness across the state.
