The Patient Experience Specialist serves as the first point o f contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience. This position is responsible for front office operations, patient intake, scheduling, insurance verification and coordination of referrals, while maintaining accuracy, efficiency and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
- Answer and manage a high volume call center, directing calls and addressing patient inquiries
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize provider schedules
- Verify insurance eligibility
- Collect copays, balances, and process patient payments accurately
- Manage patient intake, including distribution and review of required paperwork
- Prepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointments
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
- Assist with general administrative duties to support clinic operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- No weekends
