Vice Presidents (“VPs”) are provided the opportunity to play a meaningful and client facing role in each transaction, as well as assuming leadership roles within the firm. VPs are assigned an array of responsibilities including:
Partnering with senior bankers and clients to effectively execute the deal process:
- Assist with client pitches and proposals, including preparing high-quality engagement materials describing the client business and future growth prospects and synergies with potential buyers
- Prepare detailed financial analyses to effectively model the client’s business and future growth opportunities as well as identify and research potential buyers or investors for each engagement
- Quarterback the execution phase of the engagement, including follow-up with prospective buyers to determine their level of interest and answering any questions they may have or providing additional information as requested
- Assist the client with the coordination of the due diligence process between transaction parties
- Stay abreast of new developments within the firm’s coverage areas by tracking buyers, conducting recurring calls with industry players, and tracking public and private company deal activity
- Manage, supervise, and coach junior banking team members, including assisting with on campus recruiting efforts
Assisting in business development initiatives:
- Cultivating relationships with prospective clients and investors
- Oversee outbound marketing efforts and attend industry conferences
- Contributing to the firmwide thought leadership initiatives
Ideal candidates for the Vice President position will possess the following:
- 7 years of investment banking experience with a heavy emphasis on transaction process and financial modeling
- Extreme attention to detail and a high level of analytical, financial, and presentation skills
- Ability to proactively manage multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner
- Excellent verbal / written communication, particularly within power point
- Ability to obtain necessary FINRA licenses
Strong consideration will be given to candidates who possess:
- Prior investment banking experience as an analyst and/or associate
- An undergraduate degree with academic distinction
