Elementary Teacher--5th Grade for 26-27 School Year

Bailey Charter Elementary is seeking a dynamic 5th grade teacher who wants to be part of a mission-driven team where relationships, rigor, and belonging matter.

Position Summary

Bailey Charter School (BCES) is seeking a passionate and effective 5th Grade Teacher to join our small charter school community. The ideal candidate values high expectations, strong relationships, and structured learning environments, and is committed to supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. We are looking for an educator who believes in whole-child development, and who thrives in a structured, supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate values kindness, clarity, and consistency, uses data to inform instruction, and is committed to helping students develop strong academic skills, self-regulation, and confidence as they transition into upper elementary/middle grades.

Responsibilities

· Deliver standards-based instruction in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies

· Align instruction to Nevada Academic Content Standards (NVACS)

· Use assessment data to monitor progress and guide instruction

· Differentiate instruction for diverse learners

· Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment aligned with schoolwide expectations (Be Kind to Self, Others, and the Environment)

· Implement classroom management and PBIS practices

· Communicate regularly with families

· Participate in collaboration, professional development, and school activities

· Support the mission and values of Bailey Charter School ("Where Your Child Belongs")

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

· Valid Nevada Department of Education Teaching License (Elementary) or eligibility

· Strong instructional and classroom management skills

· Ability to pass required background checks

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience teaching intermediate grades (3rd–6th grade)

· Charter school experience

· ESL or Special Education endorsement

Work Schedule

Full-time, school-year position

Occasional evenings for conferences or school events
