Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Operate POS systems to process sales, handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including food handling stations, food preparation including griddle and fryer, in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage food inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and ensure proper food storage practices
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
- Support other team members with bussing tables, cleaning, or basic kitchen tasks during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments preferred; restaurant or café experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food handling safety, and sanitation protocols
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately during peak hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
