Duties
- Prepare and bake fresh bagels daily following established recipes and standards
- Operate baking equipment and ensure proper oven temperatures and timings
- Decorate bagels with toppings or icing as needed for specialty products
- Package baked goods efficiently for retail display or wholesale orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management and restocking ingredients and supplies
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health and safety standards
- Contribute to the development of new bagel flavors or recipes as part of culinary innovation
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers or during catering events
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary arts, preferably within a bakery or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of cake decorating, food preparation, and food handling best practices
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and food production
