Job Overview
We are seeking one employee to join our dynamic team at Bagel-ish, a bagel shop/cafe in Beacon NY which specializes in delicious all-natural bagels and sandwiches.
This is a great job for active retirees and recent college grads, who are seeking a dynamic environment, but limited hours.
Hours:
Thursday - 11-4
Friday 11-4
Saturday 11-4
Possible Sunday hours.
The position is to support the baking operations after all baking is completed with dough making and rolling.
Bakery prep position only. Experience with dough helpful, but not required.
The team members should:
- have experience in or willing to learn dough techniques
- operate dough rolling equipment (with train)
- take direction from the primary baker and also the owner regarding processes and techniques.
- Observe and assess tasks to be done. Communicate with owner and staff on needs (for example when certain ingredients are running low)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitize work areas, and help clean up at the end of the workday.
- Work cooperatively with the team.
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure quality control
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
