Deli Counter Associate
Bagel Chalet has been serving Long Island since 1981, and our counter team is the heart of every morning rush. We’re looking for an experienced Deli Counter Associate who can work the counter, the deli, the sandwich station, and the phones, all with a smile. If you’re quick on your feet and love keeping customers happy, we’d love to meet you.
Schedule: 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday through Tuesday OR Wednesday through Sunday
WHAT YOU’LL DO
▸ Take orders, run the register, and deliver fast, friendly service at the counter
▸ Make bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and deli sandwiches to order
▸ Slice meats and cheeses and fill deli orders by the pound
▸ Answer phones, take call-in orders, and pack to-go and catering orders accurately
▸ Keep the counter and deli case stocked, clean, and looking great
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
▸ 2 or more years of deli counter or food service experience
▸ A true multitasker who stays calm and organized during busy rushes
▸ Experience making sandwiches to order and using a deli slicer
▸ Friendly, professional customer service and phone skills
▸ Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with a 5:00 AM start
▸ Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire)
