POSITION TITLE: POLISHER – MIAMI
REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bagatelle is an experience. It's a place to feel like you were invited into the home and table of an epicurean bon vivant from the French Riviera. It's a place to celebrate the South of France’s festive spirit, generous cuisine and friendly atmosphere. The Polisher at Bagatelle is responsible for preparing all silverware, glassware and dishes. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the polishing station, periodic sweeping and mopping of floors, taking out trash and replacing bags as needed. The pace in this position is critical in turning tables. A strong work ethic is key to success.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures a clean & sanitary workstation, as well as enforcing Bagatelle’s sanitation standards.
• Supports barbacks, runners, and server assistants as needed
• Be proactive and aware of repair needs and report as necessary
• Wash glassware by hand as necessary
• Empty and clean trash and recycling bins
• Maintain dish storage
• Responsible for the care of plateware, glassware, and flatware
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/PRIMARY JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 1 years experience in a similar fine dining establishment
• Ability to follow directions from management team regarding daily duties and tasks.
• Knowledge of basic dish machine operations, and ability to operate
• Must be pay attention to detail
• Cleanliness and knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines
• Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with everyone and a professional demeanor
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must work as a team player
• Highly motivated with ability to work fast
• Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
• Maintain friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times
• Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards
• Attendance to company meetings and training seminars as required
• Ability to work flexible hours necessary including off hours, weekends and holidays
Working Conditions
• Hours may vary if emergencies arise
• Operating days are Tuesday through Saturday, dinner only
• Be able to lift and carry trays as needed
• While performing the duties of this job, the individual in this role is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to walk.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch and twist
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
• Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
• Working conditions can at times involve hot, cold, and potentially hazardous equipment and the operation of office equipment
