Description:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Remote Sorting Facility Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at our off-site airport sorting facility. This role is critical to ensuring luggage is accurately received, sorted, and dispatched according to TSA compliance and service timelines. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily luggage handling and sorting operations
- Sweep BSO for untagged luggage belonging to Guest stayed on property
- Ensure compliance with TSA guidelines and company safety protocols
- Lead and support a team of sorting facility associates and drivers
- Monitor productivity and quality control standards
- Conduct shift check-ins and prepare reports on volume and workflow
- Communicate effectively with airport dispatch, airline partners, and management
- Address issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions
- Train new team members and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
- Prior supervisory experience in logistics, warehouse, or baggage handling preferred
- Familiarity with TSA baggage screening requirements a plus
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. or more and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be flexible with work schedule and available during peak travel periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional logistics or operations training is a plus
