Role Overview
The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to drive the overall performance of the boutique. This role is instrumental in delivering exceptional client experiences, developing high-performing teams, and executing operational excellence in a luxury retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Talent Development
- Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, hire, and develop top-tier talent
- Coach and inspire the team to deliver best-in-class service and achieve performance goals
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-energy team environment
- Support scheduling, payroll, and time & attendance processes
- Ensure ongoing product knowledge and brand education across the team in partnership with internal teams
Sales & Client Experience
- Drive sales performance through KPI awareness, clienteling, and team engagement
- Build and maintain a strong client base, ensuring accurate and meaningful client data capture
- Support and execute in-store events in partnership with leadership and marketing
- Communicate business results and key initiatives to the team with clarity and consistency
Operations & Business Management
- Support inventory management, including receiving, transfers, repairs, and stock integrity
- Maintain exceptional store standards across visual presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance
- Partner with leadership to analyze performance, identify opportunities, and drive results
- Ensure compliance with all operational policies, including data security and inventory controls
Client Service Excellence
- Uphold and model exceptional client service standards at all times
- Support the team in delivering a seamless, elevated experience aligned with the brand
- Resolve escalated client concerns with professionalism and care
- Develop a strong understanding of piercing practices, healing, and styling to support the client journey
Qualifications
- 2 years of management experience in a retail environment (luxury or fine jewelry preferred)
- Strong clienteling skills with a passion for building lasting client relationships
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to lead through change
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the store for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform moderate physical activity (including climbing)
