BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area is seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Requirements Management lead to support our RF, and EO/IR Seeker Development Programs. With facilities in Huntsville AL and Hudson NH, the successful candidate will plan, develop, and manage Systems Requirements with a geographically distributed team through the product development lifecycle of our next generation advanced missile seekers. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, good at planning, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing system-level requirements modules in DOORS, to include activities such as, but not limited to: deriving requirements from parent and reference specifications, managing allocations of requirements to subsystems, performing impact and traceability assessments including suggested corrective actions, engaging with system architecture and verification teams to ensure satisfaction and verification of requirements, and generating and presenting views of requirements to leadership and stakeholders for review and approval. The selected candidate will also be responsible for leveraging DOORS Extension Language activities.

This role will be staffed in Huntsville, AL. In Huntsville, our Engineering team is working in a recently opened state of the art facility and operating in a unique environment where we have the power and resources of BAE Systems behind us while working in a dynamic and flexible model. At BAE Systems, we are looking for team players who have demonstrated experience working successfully in group settings.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working primarily onsite with some remote potential. Travel is estimated at 10%.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Hold an active Secret security clearance
• Advanced knowledge of Requirements and their purpose in systems engineering
• Proficient with DOORS
• Significant experience with missile or guided projectiles design, development, and fielding
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in identifying and tracking technical risks
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines
• The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the problem space
• Comfortable in a lab setting working with a combination of both hardware and software, and HWIL
• Understanding any of the Electro-Optical Infra-Red (EOIR), Laser, and Radio Frequency (RF) domains
• Experience in any of the following is a plus:
  • Aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, Semi-autonomous decision awareness
  • Model Based Agile Engineering (Value Driven Digital Threads) and Agile Mindset principle, practices & processes and tools & techniques
  • Developing and using analysis tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, VBA, C/C , Linux, or similar tools is required
  • Jira
• MS Systems Engineering

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Salary : $118,504 - $201,457
