System Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an entry level Mechanical Engineer to join the ICBM Minuteman III team, with a concentration in propulsion/battery systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform systems engineering and integration duties, logistical analysis, test and assessment, and other relevant engineering efforts required to support mature and proven weapon systems.
• Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, propulsion rocket engines, and solid stage motors.
• Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Must have an ABET Accredited Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Candidates graduating in or prior to May 2025 will be considered
• 0 - 2 years of industry or military experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• ICBM experience, especially Minuteman III specific: Reentry, Guidance and Navigation, Inertial Measurement, Propulsion, Ordnance, and/or battery technology experience.
• ICBM Field Maintenance
• Depot Repair
• Risk management
• Configuration management
• Logistical Analysis
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes
• Familiarity with technical data packages
• Experience in modeling and/or simulation software

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
