Job Description
Join our award-winning, dynamic, and growing aerospace supply chain team, supporting mission-critical capabilities across a growing and diverse portfolio of both commercial and military customers. This opportunity offers a broad range of supply chain management activities with the Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS) supply chain team within BAE Systems Electronic Systems Sector.

The Supply Chain Manager - Procurement will be responsible for leading a team of Procurement Analysts to develop and implement procurement strategies that meet the company's needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Procurement Leadership:
* Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to optimize spend, reduce costs, and ensure supply chain resilience.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
2. Team Management:
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Procurement Analysts to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
* Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the procurement team.
3. Procurement Operations:
* Oversee the procurement process, including requisition review, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and order management.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and procurement procedures.
4. Supplier Relationship Management:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
* Negotiate contracts, agreements, and pricing terms with suppliers.
5. Spend Analysis and Optimization:
* Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Develop and implement strategies to optimize spend, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
6. Inventory Management and Strategy:
* Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce inventory costs, and improve service levels.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of inventory management strategies with business objectives.
* Analyze inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction.
* Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory management.
7. Risk Management:
* Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions and supplier insolvency.
* Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential impacts on the business.
8. Collaboration and Communication:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including planning, materials, engineering, program management, manufacturing, and logistics, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
* Communicate procurement plans, strategies, and results to senior leadership and stakeholders.
* Escalation path for internal and external procurement related needs

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related roles
* Strong understanding of procurement principles, including contract management, supplier relationship management, and spend analysis.
* Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
* Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* Proficiency in procurement software, such as Oracle
* Experience with inventory management systems and techniques, and inventory optimization tools.



Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 3 years in a leadership role preferred.
* Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) certification preferred.



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $108787 - $184937

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
