In this Quality Engineering Assistant III role you will be an individual contributor and a manufacturing quality team member responsible for supporting the microelectronics manufacturing value stream where you will help drive process improvements while also ensuring compliance to factory procedures. Other tasking could include conducting audits, providing status on projects or products, analyzing data to make informed decisions, reporting on metrics, and performing AS9102 First Article Inspections.
This role will be performed full-time onsite because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular job. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- High School degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Abilty to read and interpret technical writings/drawings
- Ability to provide effective written and verbal communications to cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with MS office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and a desire to learn new systems
- English literacy is required to ensure that the candidate will be capable of following process instructions, policies and safety guidelines.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in a manufacturing environment producing electronics devices for military applications
- Ability to read and interpret technical data packages, engineering drawings, parts lists, Bill of Materials, component specifications, Military Standards and Process Sheets
- Experience using various inspection tools such as Vernier’s, microscopes, gauges, etc.
- Experience applying Military standards to electronics production including MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38534 and IPC-A-610
- Working knowledge with AS9102 PPV / FAI forms and performing FAI Inspections.
- Experience in cleanroom, ESD and FOD controlled areas.
- Experience tracking factory hardware and documenting non-conformances in Manufacturing Execution Systems.
- Experience in cleanroom, ESD and FOD controlled areas.
- Familiarity with Auditing procedures and Quality Management Systems like AS9100
- Possess an active Security Clearance.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57319 - $91710
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
