Procurement Analyst I

Job Description
What's it like to work for the Battery Technology Center (BTC)? We are a small group of engineers, engineering technologists, technicians, and additional support staff dedicated to delivering for our customers on a variety of power solutions projects.
The Procurement Analyst I position will require the following key duties:

• Receive and respond to requests for purchasing materials, including writing, submitting, tracking, monitoring and controlling purchase requests and collating all associated documentation to support the purchasing process
• Act as primary liaison for tracking all on-going materials requests for the program, including providing status updates and proper documentation, as needed
• Develop a strong understanding of the purchasing process, including coordinating with the corporate buyer personnel to adequately plan for upcoming purchase requests
• Maintain high quality documentation throughout the entire procurement process
• Establish reliable vendor relationships to ensure quality deliverables and expedite the purchasing process
• Identify and analyze trends in material use and needs and provide recommendations for material purchases, particularly for electrochemical cells/batteries
• Monitor and control internal/external calibration services for all test equipment, e.g. environmental chambers, test equipment, etc., including maintaining accurate internal/external calibration records, scheduling routine system maintenance efforts for equipment, and escorting calibration technicians while on-site, as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experienced with BAE Systems business applications, e.g., Deltek Costpoint, concur, etc. for generating purchase orders along with knowledge of company processes and procedures for purchasing materials, services and equipment.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $56401 - $95881

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
