BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our development efforts in our Terminal High Area Altitude Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker program. This position will support production program activities, including the interfacing with the production staff, understanding the system requirements, creating and reviewing reports and streamlining processes. This position has growth opportunities to support failure analysis efforts including running tests in support of troubleshooting and driving root cause on failures.
Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of protégés, developing White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and leading test events.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- An active Secret clearance is required for this position
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science and at least 6 years’ experience
- Development and production of a complex electro/mechanical system including requirements development, integration, test, verification & validation and qualification
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership, and other functional disciplines such as Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, along with Project Management Officers
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Experience with Matlab and Oracle
- Experience working in an Agile environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Extensive experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
- Experience with missile systems and guided projectiles
- IR related work experience
- Knowledgeable in Earned Value Management Systems

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
