The Intelligence & Security (I&S) Human Resources team is looking for a dynamic, strategic, results driven Human Resources professional to join a fun, high-paced HR team. This role reports to the Strategic Systems HR Manager and will work onsite at our Hill AFB, UT location.
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) Principal plays a dual role, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support to assigned Business Unit providing full cycle Human Resources support. This critical position is responsible for executing people initiatives and driving HR excellence across the organization. As a trusted advisor, the HRBP Principal will partner with senior leaders and management teams to align HR best practices with business strategies, ensuring seamless integration and optimal results. To achieve this goal, the HRBP Principal will collaborate closely with the HR team, Shared Services, and Center of Excellence departments to deliver tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of assigned areas. Additionally, they will work closely with other HRBPs on key projects and initiatives to drive success.
Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate The Ability To
Work closely with senior leaders/managers to provide expertise and hands on support in multiple areas including: workforce planning, on boarding, employee retention, employee relations, management coaching, performance management and change management.
- Work with management to plan, organize, direct, implement and evaluate the assigned areas HR needs.
- Manage, recommend and implement remedies on mid-level to complex employee relations issues working closely with the Manager and legal as appropriate.
- Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, assess risk and determines appropriate course of action, working closely with the Manager and legal as appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and HR compliance.
- Pro-actively identify and assess potential legal risks and act to ensure compliance. Partner with Legal and Ethics Departments as needed.
- Provide performance management guidance to line management for coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as point-of-contact for guidance on compensation actions, including individual promotions, equity adjustments and related actions. Identify business case for position or job group compensation changes, and incentive compensation changes.
- Act as resource to employees when needed providing guidance on and interpreting company policy as well as assuring that employee perspectives are heard and considered.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Track and analyze metrics on employee actions, terminations, and voluntary attrition to recommend actions as needed.
- Engage with Shared Services/COEs teams (Compensation, Benefits, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Compliance) to execute business strategies through tactical operations.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related disciple or equivalent experience.
- Must have a minimum 6 years of progressive HR related work experience
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality and independent judgment in the performance of responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in providing hands-on HR support, for a large, high paced and dispersed employee population.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, exercise tact and diplomacy and the ability to communicate persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably with all levels of employees including directors and vice presidents, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and possess a sense of urgency to close on actions.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work autonomously, perform in a high paced environment and work with multiple priorities.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required)
- MBA or other advanced degree with concentration in Human Resource Management or related field
- Certified by HRCI as PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP

Full-Time Salary Range: $81336 - $138271
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
