The Microelectronics Product Line performs cutting-edge microelectronics research and development in its Science & Technology (S&T) area and delivers advanced microelectronic products in its three Development & Production areas that advance mission capabilities across commercial and defense applications.

We are seeking a part time intern to support our S&T area. The Microelectronics S&T Intern may:

• Support Scientists and Technology Development Managers to develop designs and concepts to be utilized for new business pursuits.
• Obtain working knowledge of company tools. Perform analyses and compile data for investigation by senior personnel.
• Support contract or internal research and development work in microelectronics.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. This is a part time internship.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Enrolled in a Master or PhD program
• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Thermal characterization and Finite Element Modeling Experience (Ansys and/or COMSOL).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Previous work experience not required but helpful.
• Semiconductor characterization.
• Mechanical Design Software (CREO Preferred).
• RF Device and/or Materials Simulation (HFSS, TCAD, ADS, Microwave Office, Spice).
• Electrical CAD Design Software (Cadence, L-Edit, K-layout, Mentor, Atrium).

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $58344 - $81128

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.

Salary : $58,344 - $81,128
