We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fleet Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on trucks, trailers, forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
- Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using power tools, welding techniques, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to track vehicle history and compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving Caterpillar machinery, farm equipment, industrial machinery, or automotive electrical systems.
- Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, brake repairs, and suspension adjustments to maximize vehicle safety and efficiency.
- Support heavy lifting operations safely while handling large components or equipment during repairs or assembly tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment repair; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, electrical wiring (schematics), and diesel engines.
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery or industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern tools and software; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar brands is advantageous.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using power tools effectively.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for precise repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer service mindset to support internal clients effectively.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions; commitment to safety standards at all times.
