Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Kingston, WA, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role includes managing the general ledger, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements and management reports, monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and applicable regulations. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and external auditors, supporting cost and inventory accounting related to manufacturing products and services, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and systems. The Senior Accountant will mentor junior team members, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the finance leadership in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance review to support management decisions.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with data reconciliation and reporting tools. Preference to experience with SAP Business One.
- Understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and project accounting, preferably in manufacturing or industrial services.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP or IFRS) and internal control frameworks, with experience supporting audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Several years of progressively responsible accounting experience; prior experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role preferred.
Salary: $85,000-$100,000 DOE full benefits package
