What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Ranger position at Badgerland Girl Scouts?
The Camp Ranger ensures Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland’s Camp Ehawee is safe, well-maintained, clean, and welcoming for our campers, volunteers, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Camp Ranger is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and stewardship of the property and may provide support at Camp Brandenburg as needed. The position promotes a culture of safety, outstanding customer service, and continuous improvement while helping preserve and enhance the camp experience for current and future Girl Scouts.
This full-time position is based at Camp Ehawee (Mindoro, WI). The Camp Ranger will be responsible for the operational needs of that location. The general schedule will consist of five 7.5-hour workdays, generally Monday through Friday. A council vehicle and fuel are provided. Occasional weekend work is required to support camp operations, special events, and other property needs. Camp Ranger is required to work during the summer to ensure safety during heavy camp usage, and time off will be limited during youth camp season (annually May-August).
