What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cabinet Sales & Design Specialist position at Badger?
Badger is a full-line distributor of lumber, interior and exterior millwork, cabinets, flooring,
windows, garage doors, roofing and agricultural products.
CABINET SALES AND DESIGN SPECIALIST Independently design kitchens and bathrooms using current software, product knowledge and
project experience to innovatively and uniquely meet our customer needs. Designs include
creation of blueprint.
- Has discretion to modify pricing as needed to fit the project/job, competition, size, location and
- Works on projects from design through order and completion.
- Responsible for insuring department profitability.
- Marketing of design work and customer contact.
- Networking for develop relationships with contractors, dealers and their customers.
- Responsible for all department customer communication.
- Maintain design knowledge with industry innovation to continue to meet client needs and also
business needs, including product recommendation, etc.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills required including conflict resolution
Effectively manage time and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Ability to work independently and as well a strong team member
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and 20/20 Software
Effectively build relationships with customers and employees at all levels
Make critical decisions while following company procedures
Exceptional work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to detail, including
profitability of each project and the department
Ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced environment, including the willingness and ability to take
initiative in assuming challenging and/or special projects
