Badger State Staffing is seeking motivated individuals to join a growing organization as a Powder Coat Technician on a full-time basis. Entry-level and seasoned professionals are encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties:
- Apply powder paint to parts based on job orders, customer specifics, and other documents
- Operate and maintain forklifts and cranes for material handling
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Perform machining tasks as required for production needs
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organization within the warehouse
- Fabricate components according to specifications using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct assembly of parts while adhering to quality standards
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations in various tasks
- Employ lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines
Second Shift Schedule: This is a full-time, second-shift position. The standard schedule is four 10-hour shifts a week, from Monday to Thursday, 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Applicants must be flexible to train on a different schedule for a temporary period. Training will include two phases: a first-shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday), followed by a split-shift schedule from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education (GED)
- Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and customer specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
