What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cheese Production (2nd shift) position at Badger State Staffing?
Production/operator will help run cheese or whey-processing equipment, monitor production, keep records, clean/sanitize systems, and make sure product quality and safety standards are met.
Duties include:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Running or assisting with processing “towers”
- Working at production “tables” where cheese is handled, sorted, or processed
- Taking product samples for lab testing
- Recording production data and completing paperwork
- Cleaning equipment using CIP (“Clean In Place”) systems
- Following HACCP and food-safety procedures
- Lifting up to about 50–60 lbs. and standing for long periods
Work environment:
- Fast-paced
- Wet/humid and sometimes hot
- Physically active
Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow sanitation and safety rules
- Basic computer/documentation skills
Manufacturing or food-production experience helps but is not always required
Pay: From $20.50 per hour
