What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at Badger Murphy Food Service?
Education, Training or Certification Required for Job:
Valid Driver’s license CDL Class B (air brake certified), pass a DOT Physical Certification every other year, and have clean MVR.
Typical work day:
Consists often (9) hours per day, five days per week Monday through Friday. One hour a day shall be allotted for lunch. Route is completed when last customer is serviced and route invoices are totaled and turned in to be posted with closing clerk. Starting time is set for customer satisfaction Badger Murphy with start time between 4:00am to 7:00 am unless an emergency situation dictates otherwise.
Essential Job Functions:
Check orders to ensure proper product and quantities are correctly loaded on truck. Drive truck to various locations in Chicago land area, making deliveries of various products ranging in weight from one (1) to eighty (80) lbs. Employee must be able to, but is not limited to: sit, walk, drive, stoop, bend, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, push and pull products on pallets and dollies, as well as reaching at; below; and above shoulder).
Secondary Job Functions:
Collect checks and cash for invoices, communicate with office on customer requests and questions, and report loading errors to office.
Machines, Tools, Equipment used on Job:
Be able to use a two wheel dolly, pallet jack, and load securing bars all provided by company.
