The License and Registration Specialist manages vehicle titling, registration, licensing, and permit compliance for Badger's fleet nationally, ensuring every vehicle is properly registered, renewed, and compliant with state and federal requirements. This role maintains accurate registration records and partners with the Fleet Programs Manager to standardize and continuously improve licensing and registration processes across the network.
The compensation for this position will be commensurate with education or work experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Processes new vehicle titling and registration across all states and jurisdictions of operation.
- Tracks and renews registrations, license plates, and permits ahead of expiration to prevent lapses.
- Processes IRP and IFTA filings and renewals, including apportioned plate registrations.
- Maintains compliance with state and federal vehicle licensing and registration regulations.
- Processes title transfers for vehicle purchases, branch transfers, and disposals.
- Partners with the Fleet Programs Manager to standardize and improve registration processes.
What You'll Need for Success:
- Associate degree in a related field preferred; relevant professional experience accepted
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in vehicle titling, registration, or a DMV-related administrative role.
- Working knowledge of IRP, IFTA, and multi-state registration requirements preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The role requires use of office equipment, computer, and telephone, along with clear vision, hearing, and effective communication skills.
