Essential Duties:
· Manage efforts of the Production Operations team to include: Production Supervisors, and all production employees on assigned shifts.
· Review and approve the schedule board daily by shift with Operations Manager, Production Scheduler, and Supervision to verify manpower and machine requirements to meet the schedule.
· Evaluate, track, and analyze efficiency utilizing production reports (downtime, amount produced, mistakes, etc.), recommending initiatives for process or continuous improvement to meet on-time deliveries, ISO standards, and profitability goals.
· Communicates with departments; materials, lab, quality, customer service, production scheduling and shift supervision to provide up to the moment status updates, or expedites of production orders.
· Participates in the investigation of accelerated internal or external customer complaints (quality, missing product, delivery), consulting with appropriate departmental personnel to assure resolution, and avoid repeat of any Production concerns.
· Drives high performance across the Production teams by review of performance, enhancement of training or cross training programs with the Operations Manager and sets team and individual performance objectives, and manage under performers.
· Advises the Operations Manager of manpower requirements.
· Approves Supervisory incident reports, accident investigations, disciplinary action sessions, as well as a probationary, and annual performance reviews. Conducts investigations with regard to higher level policy violations, and initiates terminations through Human Resources.
· Addresses attendance requests through the Supervisors, and approves labor attendance exceptions to ensure the accuracy of the Production payrolls.
· Addresses machine or equipment repair needs with Maintenance.
Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
