Badger Box Mobile Storage is a locally owned and operated company founded in Wilmington, NC in 2019. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a dependable Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone looking for 1–2 days of work per week with flexible scheduling. Every day is a little different: you'll deliver, move, and pickup portable storage containers, speak with and assist customers to ensure placement is ideal for them, and operate specialized equipment that makes deliveries safe and efficient.
What You'll Do:
As a Delivery Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering, relocating, and picking up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers throughout the greater Wilmington area.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate our delivery truck while transporting portable storage containers.
- Operate our state-of-the-art remote-controlled Cardinal Mule delivery system to load, unload, and precisely place containers.
- Deliver, move, and pick up loaded or empty storage containers at customer homes and businesses.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during each delivery.
- Follow daily schedules and delivery routes while communicating any delays or issues.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Help keep our trucks, trailers, containers, and delivery equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Complete delivery paperwork and document any job site concerns or customer requests.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Class B CDL is preferred but not required. Applicants with experience driving medium-duty trucks are encouraged to apply.
- Previous delivery, trucking, towing, construction, equipment operation, or similar experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to lift, push, and move equipment as needed.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.
Pay & Benefits:
