Support Staff — Host / Food Runner / Takeout — Bad Bambino Charleston, SC · Full-Time & Part-Time
Bad Bambino is a new neighborhood restaurant — casual but fine dining, with food, wine, and service that are polished and precise, and a personality that's warm, relaxed, and welcoming. We're building our support staff team for opening: one role, three skill sets, and a lot of room to move.
What the role covers
Every support staff member is cross-trained on all three of our support roles and rotates between them:
- Host — greet and seat every guest warmly, introduce them to their server, offer water when a server's slammed, rotate sections evenly, keep track of covers per server, get the door, and send every guest off with a genuine goodbye
- Food Runner — know the room cold (tables, seats, proper no-backhand dropping), keep tables maintained, help polish and restock, and keep the floor moving
- Takeout / Corner Store — our takeout program is unique: pickup happens next door at the corner store. This role checks every order for accuracy, tracks pickups, and sells wine, beer, and ice cream at the register — real hospitality, just on a different POS

Someone warm, sharp, and self-motivated — you don't wait to be told what needs doing, you look around and do it. You're comfortable moving between guest-facing work and behind-the-scenes hustle, and you take pride in a room running smoothly.
Training
New team members complete a paid, structured 3-day training program before working independently, covering our culture and standards, menu and allergy knowledge, and hands-on practice in all three roles.
Pay
Hourly base pay plus tip-out, including takeout tips as our takeout program grows — full details discussed at interview.
Requirements
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work as a team
- Comfortable learning a POS system
- Evening availability, including weekends
