What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM/PM Prep, Line and Grill Cooks position at Backyard Taco?
WE ARE HIRING FOR AM AND PM PREP, LINE AND GRILL COOKS FOR THE NEW BACKYARD TACO IN LAVEEN
We are looking to hire a few Prep, Line and Grill Cooks that are willing to drive to the East Valley to start training soon. Please mention in your Indeed application that you are willing and able to drive to Mesa. For those not able to travel to Mesa we will be interviewing onsite in January.
Grill/Line/Prep Cook - Responsibilities include:
- Produce the highest quality food with precision and accuracy, continually observing and implementing the proper quality-assurance and food-safety procedures
- You will be able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team
- Prior experience as a cook is not required but preferred
- Tips are part of overall pay of employee and are paid out each paycheck
- YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE SUNDAY OFF SINCE WE ARE CLOSED ON SUNDAY
At Backyard Taco we aim to hire friendly, personable, energetic and attentive workers. Team Members must adhere to strict health and safety guidelines at all times. For the Cashier position basic math skills at the cash register are also required. Training generally lasts between a few days and a couple weeks and involves both visual and verbal orientation.

Typical end time: Days - 4 PM; Nights - 1 hour after Close
