As a Sports Counselor, you will not be assigned to a specific group. Instead, you’ll play a key role in running sports activities across camp — leading games, organizing tournaments, and ensuring that all programming runs smoothly throughout the day.
Duties
- Lead and organize daily sports activities including basketball, football, soccer, dodgeball, and more
- Set up and break down fields, courts, and equipment for each activity
- Run structured games while keeping them fun, safe, and inclusive for all campers
- Manage transitions between activities and maintain a smooth daily schedule
- Encourage participation, teamwork, and positive sportsmanship
- Adapt games based on age group, skill level, and group size
- Assist with camp-wide tournaments, special events, and themed days
- Maintain a safe environment and enforce camp rules at all times

Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Available for the full summer season
- Ability to be active outdoors for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques and behavior management strategies to motivate and guide young participants.
