Backyard Products, a International leader in the residential backyard space (playsets, sheds, structures) is looking for a National Account Manager within its big box retail verticals.

At Backyard Products, a Retail National Account Manager’s responsibilities will include maintaining and growing existing business with big box retailers, managing a sales pipeline of actionable growth initiatives, working closely with new product development and marketing departments and analyzing market trends to drive revenue and EBITDA growth. The National Account Manager is the primary point of contact between the retailer and Backyard Products, responsible for managing key relationships and representing Backyard Products with the utmost prestige.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client/Buyer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain key relationships with retailer Buyers and key decision makers.
    • Run meetings regularly to understand the Buyer’s needs and what is needed for incremental revenue growth
  • Sales Strategy
    • Set, maintain and monitor sales goals
    • Zoom out and develop comprehensive sales strategy that can be executed on to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets
    • Identify new and organic growth opportunities
  • Analysis and Planning
    • Work closely with cross functional teams including Product Development, Demand Planning, and Marketing to build effective product and promotional road mapping to execute against
    • Work with the Demand Planning to develop accurate sales and purchase forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and promotional plans
  • Reporting
    • Prepare and present regular reporting on account performance to Management
    • Preparation and execution of PowerPoint presentations, internally and externally
Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or related field
  • Experience:
    • 2 years of proven Club retail experience
  • Technical skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive goal oriented and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed
Work Schedule

  • The National Account Manager position at Backyard Products is expected to be in office 4 days a week so as to collaborate with the sales, marketing and product development teams as well as upper management. Overnight travel required when needed.
