Pay 25%~35% the percentage and pay is based on how many days a week you want to work and how many loads you get!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment for over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely delivery schedules.
- Load, secure, and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous materials regulations for transporting dangerous goods.
- Manage delivery driving tasks by loading, unloading, and verifying freight accuracy while adhering to truck loading and unloading procedures.
- Transport automobile transportation equipment or hazardous materials as needed, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met before each trip.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems for refrigerated trailer operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient deliveries.
- Experience handling freight in various formats such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, flatbed loads, or tanker shipments.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading processes.
- Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety compliance standards.
- Strong driving skills with experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and customers.
