Backwater Jacks is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This position plays a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment while assisting with general cleaning throughout the restaurant. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in staying organized, and enjoys being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Keep the dish station clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift.
- Empty trash and recycling as needed.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, including at the end of the shift.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, prep areas, and workstations.
- Put away clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies in their proper locations.
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed.
- Support the kitchen team with light prep or other tasks as assigned.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- No experience required—we're happy to train the right person.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
