Backstage Health delivers school-based health and special education services both in person and via telehealth throughout California. We partner with school districts to provide IEP/504 support, telehealth screenings, and access to licensed providers — ensuring every student receives the services they need, regardless of staffing shortages or school resources.
We’re seeking a Clinical Operations Specialist to support the coordination, documentation, and communication of school-based health and special education services — as well as organize and facilitate training and support for foster parents and care providers.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and helping others succeed. You’ll serve as a vital link between schools, providers, and families — ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through across multiple service programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule school-based health and special education services
- Communicate with schools and families to confirm appointments and ensure timely follow-up
- Assist with IEP/504 documentation, forms, and meeting preparation
- Maintain accurate service records, logs, and documentation in Google Drive
- Track provider caseloads, assignments, and report submissions
- Support virtual orientations, family information sessions, and provider training events
- Ensure all services are compliant, timely, and student-centered through proactive coordination with schools, families, and providers
Qualifications
- Experience in education, special education, healthcare coordination (preferred)
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with both families and school staff
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, Gmail)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Compassionate, professional, and comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, Tentative hours; 12 PM – 4 PM
- Type: Part-Time (~20 hours/week)
- Location: On-site in Chula Vista, CA
- Compensation: $18 – $19 per hour
