This role is responsible for joining, assembling, and repairing metal components using brazing techniques and heat-based fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with power & hand tools, and equipment such as torches & induction soldering, flux application, leak testers, along with a strong understanding of joint preparation, heat control, and filler materials. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications is essential to ensure precision, structural integrity, and quality in all brazed assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints/instructions.
- Set-Up work area for the day with the provided instructions.
- Assure first piece sign off is being completed.
- Follow proper PPE policy.
- Melts and applies solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to form solder joints using a soldering iron, gas torch, or electronic/ultrasonic equipment.
- Grinds, cuts, buffs, or bends edges of workpieces to ensure a snug fit before joining.
- Always maintain work area clean.
What We Are Looking For
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in metal fabrication or welding.
- 3 years of relatable experience.
- Proficient in the use of tools.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and handle 10lbs.
- Good hand eye coordination.
