Job Title: Veterinary Technician – Canine Rehabilitation Clinic
Location: Back in Motion Veterinary Services
Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and reliable Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic canine rehabilitation team. Our clinic specializes in helping dogs recover from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions through innovative rehabilitation therapies and personalized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in patient assessment, treatment, and monitoring
- Prepare patients for and assist with rehabilitation therapies (laser, underwater treadmill, massage, etc.)
- Provide hands-on physical therapy exercises and modalities
- Communicate with clients regarding rehabilitation plans, at-home care, and progress
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow established treatment protocols
- Monitor and report patient status and progress to veterinarians
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of rehab and treatment areas
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or equivalent experience preferred
- Previous experience in veterinary medicine; rehabilitation or physical therapy experience is a plus
- Comfort handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
