What you’ll do
- Assist physical therapists with patient intake and treatment procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment, creating a welcoming environment for patients.
- Educate patients on exercises and proper techniques to promote effective rehabilitation.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes using medical terminology.
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
- Engage with patients to provide excellent service, fostering a supportive atmosphere during their recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
Basic qualifications
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist in effective patient care.
- Experience in hospital or clinical settings, particularly in acute care or outpatient environments.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices.
- Previous experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, or sub-acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in individual tasks.
