What you'll do...
- Coordinate quoting and service activities in accordance with established company procedures and project management standards.
- Develop detailed and accurate proposals using internal technical resources and input from the Sales and Engineering teams.
- Maintain and monitor a log of all active requests for quotation, ensuring timely delivery and communication of any scheduling or resource conflicts.
- Prepare and include compliance documents for specifications received with RFQs, addressing exceptions and clarifications as needed.
- Utilize company quote tools to calculate labor and material costs for new projects and change orders.
- Ensure proposals are conceptually sound, clearly define deliverables, and align with company terms of payment and completion standards.
- Enter and maintain proposal data in the company QuoteLog system, tracking status and key project details.
- Review customer purchase orders for consistency with quoted terms and report any discrepancies to management.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of quoting tools, templates, and estimating processes.
- Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed to support sales and relationship development.
What you'll need to succeed...
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
- Prior experience in estimating, sales, project coordination, or technical proposal development preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD; familiarity with VBA or Visual Basic is a plus.
- Basic understanding of industrial controls, automation systems, and related components.
- Demonstrated professionalism, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and customer service.
- Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to continuous enhancement efforts.
- Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
